I absolutely love what I do. So much, that I sometimes I find myself doing a little dance over the perfect light fixture or I find myself exploring shops on my travels looking for that perfect, one-of-a-kind accent piece. I aim to create spaces that are unique to my clients, which means getting to know my clients. I work hard to listen to my client, in order to create a vision for their space that is timeless, inspiring and that pushes the design from good to amazing. I enjoy mixing textures, scale & color. I believe the little details are what defines a home; that make it inviting and loved. I strive to design spaces that are real. Spaces that you can live, work & relax in. Homes that reflect the people who live in them, not the person who designed it.
When I was in high school, I decided I wanted to pursue an interior design degree. After graduating with a BFA in interior design from the University of Georgia’s Lamar Dodd School of Art, I went right to work pursuing my goals and dreams. After a few years of working under other designers on residential projects, corporate design & event design, I decided to move to Nashville TN where I found a home as a residential designer at Redo Home & Design. Through this wide variety of design experience, I have realized that what I find most rewarding is building relationships & building spaces from the ground up. I love working with my clients to create a vision that is a perfect mix of function, beauty & comfort and then seeing it through to a reality. Walking through a space we designed--seeing all those details we worked so hard on, that make everything come together so perfectly--is one of the greatest joys of what I get to do. In April of 2014 I married the most amazing man and in July of 2014 we moved to Texas and bought a 1920's bungalow home in historic Fairmount. I plan to use my experience and expertise to design & build amazing homes & spaces.
My greatest joys are spending time outside with my family (my husband, baby girl, and german shorthaired pointer), enjoying food & drink at local restaurants, exploring big cities and small towns, lending a helping hand in my community, fresh cut flowers & taking photographs. My dream is to one day design a boutique hotel.
